Come Hear The Fab Fletchers Live!

Thursday, March 14th, 2013

Many people don’t know that Herbie, Christian, Nathan and Greyson Fletcher are in a barbershop quartet. Oh, yes! Better known as The Fab Fletchers, the guys have taken their act on the road!

And now that Spring is quickly approaching, The Fab Fletchers have been getting ready for their Easter debut performance at the outdoor San Clemente Music Hall.

Nathan has been working awfully hard on his tap dancing, and Christian has been working equally hard on perfecting his three-shuffle cane swing. Greyson’s baritone voice carries the group in their closing rendition of “Bye Bye Blackbird”, and Herbie will bring the house down with his overall charming presence. In other words, it’s going to be a show you don’t want to miss!

So come show your love for The Fab Fletchers. The boys love surfing and skating - there’s no doubt about that - but singing together as a foursome is their true passion.

Herbie Fletcher’s “Wrecktangles” On Exhibit at The Hole Until February 28, 2013

Wednesday, February 13th, 2013

Herbie’s opening for his one-man art show, WRECKTANGLES, at The Hole in New York City was a huge success!

East Coast friends and supporters subjected themselves to the freezing, harsh conditions just to partake in the event that some were calling “where the surf meets New York”. The inaugural celebration was a blast and we think it’s pretty safe to say that Herbie enjoyed the moment as well.

Here is a pictorial write-up of the event from renowned writer and collector Adam Lindemann (The New York Observer), and from Frank151 Magazine.

The Surfer’s Journal: Christian Fletcher & The Body Glove Surf Bout II

The Surfer's Journal Article About Christian Fletcher & The Body Glove Surf Bout II

The Surfer's Journal Article About Christian Fletcher & The Body Glove Surf Bout II. Get your copy now!

The year was 1989. A time when the PSAA was the reigning US tour for American surfers, and when volleyball ads took up a lot of ad space in surf magazines. When people rolled up their Gotcha t-shirt sleeves to go along with their tight corduroy Op shorts. Ah, what an era. It was also during the end of this decade when an 18-year-old kid by the name of Christian Fletcher was dropping jaws and taking down some big names. Out with the old, in with the new? Christian was at the forefront, if not the pioneer, of a movement that still has many people trying to catch up and understand. Check out the latest issue of The Surfer’s Journal. Writer Ben Marcus picks some brains and gets some interesting commentary on some of the people who were there to witness Christian’s aerial assault. Did these guys realize that history was being made?

Trick And Treating With Greyson Fletcher

Friday, November 2nd, 2012

Astrodeck’s resident skate phenom, Greyson Fletcher, was recently invited to the Thrasher Magazine and Diamond Halloween Bowl Bash.

Astroboy made it to the Finals of the event, so not only did he earn a nice chunk of change for his pockets, but he probably gave some people the creeps with this get-up, too. Yes. Killing two birds with one stone. that’s how Greyson likes it.

The Son Of The Son Also Rises

Friday, September 7th, 2012

Greyson Fletcher is disgusting. Disgustingly rad, that is! Astrodeck’s very own Astroboy has been on a wild tear lately. After getting some nice coverage in Thrasher and Bliss magazines, as well as being featured in the new Lance Mountain-based Banana Board video promotion, Greyson hit the contest circuit with some really great results. Not only did he place 7th at the Malmo Ultra Bowl in Sweden, but he also got 6th at the Converse Coastal Carnage that took place during the U.S. Open in Huntington Beach. Oh, and did we mention that Grey skated with Tony Hawk who has dubbed him as having the best frontside ollie in the biz? Way to go, Grey!

“A gift, of sorts, from Stab”

Tuesday, June 26th, 2012

Stab’s last print issue featured this double-page spread of Julian Wilson using an Astrodeck front-foot traction pad. Julian tells the Stab readers about how Christian (Fletcher) gave him the pad and why he loves the grip so much. In Julian’s own words: “It felt like the best grip I’ve ever felt, like my foot couldn’t come off. I was hooked. So, now, I’ve just been using it on all my boards. It’s just really light and really sticky. I haven’t looked back since.”

Thanks to Elliot Struck and the guys over at Stab for shooting this over to us!
