Astroboy Greyson Fletcher made this sick cover shot by Beach Brother Magazine last year (photo by Affif Bellakdar), and it looks like it also caught the attention of the people behind the Bright European Skateboard Awards because now it’s been nominated for Cover of the Year. Pretty sweet, right?

Wednesday, January 9th, 2013Trick And Treating With Greyson Fletcher
Friday, November 2nd, 2012Astrodeck’s resident skate phenom, Greyson Fletcher, was recently invited to the Thrasher Magazine and Diamond Halloween Bowl Bash.
Astroboy made it to the Finals of the event, so not only did he earn a nice chunk of change for his pockets, but he probably gave some people the creeps with this get-up, too. Yes. Killing two birds with one stone. that’s how Greyson likes it.

The Son Of The Son Also Rises
Friday, September 7th, 2012Greyson Fletcher is disgusting. Disgustingly rad, that is! Astrodeck’s very own Astroboy has been on a wild tear lately. After getting some nice coverage in Thrasher and Bliss magazines, as well as being featured in the new Lance Mountain-based Banana Board video promotion, Greyson hit the contest circuit with some really great results. Not only did he place 7th at the Malmo Ultra Bowl in Sweden, but he also got 6th at the Converse Coastal Carnage that took place during the U.S. Open in Huntington Beach. Oh, and did we mention that Grey skated with Tony Hawk who has dubbed him as having the best frontside ollie in the biz? Way to go, Grey!

“Big Apple Dreamin’”
Thursday, July 28th, 2011“We’re so young and pretty, we’re so young and clean,
so many things that we have never seen…
Big Apple dreamin’ on a wooden floor
Skyscrapers and subways and stations
Staring up at the United Nations
New York is waiting for you and me, baby
Waiting to swallow us down
New York, we’re coming to see what you’re made of
Are you as great as you sound?”
- “Big Apple Dreamin’” by Alice Cooper
Herbie, Christian and Greyson Fletcher recently came back home to San Clemente after a jam-packed stay in New York. There, they checked out the art and surf scenes in Montauk, the skate scenes of Manhattan, and everything else in-between, all the while hanging out with some pretty colorful characters.
We’ll get to Herbie’s Tripoli Art Gallery showcase and Christian’s Hamptons International Film Festival presentation of his movies “Savage Beast” and “Supernatural” next week. There’s so much to report about those things. But right now, we’re just way too impatient and wanna hurry up and upload these sick photos of Astrodeck’s very own Astroboy, Greyson, taking a bite out of the Big Apple… Fletcher style!
Here’s a sequence shot of the kid at the Chelsea Piers Skate Park. He’s pretty impressive, isn’t he?
All photos by Herbie Fletcher.
According to Greyson, he had a great time in New York despite the sweltering heat. He made a lot of good friends and New York made a lasting impression on him, and he can’t wait to go back.
To Our Friends In Japan
Thursday, March 24th, 2011Just as we were going to write up a piece on the Japanese promo tour that Christian and Greyson recently got back from, the devastating and horrific earthquake and tsunami that took place in that nation blindsided the country and shocked the rest of us in the world. And though we didn’t feel it appropriate (at this time) to post up the photos from their trip, we do want to take this opportunity to express our deepest sorrow and condolences to this nation of people we consider friends.
The Japanese are in our thoughts and prayers, and we here at Astrodeck won’t pretend to know of the many struggles and trials they will go through in order to get their lives back in order. Many will question, “Why?!?” along this harrowing time, but we truly hope that they know we extend our friendship with gratitude, solace, and support.
With love,
Team Astrodeck
